Starbucks Pike Place Roast

The Pike Place Roast is Starbucks oldest and most established blend of coffee. They serve it everyday, yet I find that it is my least favorite Starbucks blend. It is fairly strong, but always seems to have a watery taste. Still, that it is not my biggest problem with the blend; I believe that its extremely smokey taste leaves it very undesirable. Starbucks claims that it contains hints of nuts and cocoa, but honestly I believe it lacks any twist in flavor. In fact it only leaves your mouth twisted with its extreme bitterness. I think it would be wise for Starbucks to lay this brew to rest. Perhaps in the past it was something new, but in todays word of many flavored coffees it really doesn't have a place in the market.
